Dental Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns and bridges are custom-made restorations that can rebuild strong, lifelike dental structure. Crowns cover what remains of the natural tooth, helping it recover from advanced decay, cracks, weakened enamel, or even serious cosmetic imperfections. Alternatively, bridges are designed to literally “bridge” the gap left by one or more missing teeth that appear in a row. Dr. Neale always takes the time to ensure the perfect fit, look, and feel for these new smile additions.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
It’s important to treat cavities as soon as they develop so that they can’t harm more of the tooth’s healthy structure, and Blackwell Dentistry offers a conservative, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing solution: tooth-colored fillings. Unlike traditional amalgam, tooth-colored fillings are made of composite resin, which comes in a wide variety of different shades that can be matched to your smile’s natural color. The lack of metals also means that it won’t be extremely sensitive when eating hot or cold foods.
Dentures & Partial Dentures
One lost tooth is a serious matter, but the loss of several teeth or even an entire arch can make everyday life more difficult in so many ways, from struggling to eat favorite foods to being unable to speak clearly. Here in Blackwell, Dr. Neale wants to help. Dentures are a convenient and cost-effective option for rebuilding many teeth at once, and our offerings are always modern and custom-crafted to fit each patient’s unique mouth ideally. Root Canals
Root canal therapy will never be a particularly fun procedure, but patients should know that its bad reputation is greatly exaggerated. The pain that most people associate with root canals is actually the pain caused by an advanced dental infection, which is what it’s meant to treat. Dr. Neale will carefully access the tooth’s inner chamber, removing diseased pulp and bacteria from within and replacing it with a safe, biocompatible substitute. Extractions
Dr. Neale and his team work very hard to help patients maintain all of their natural teeth for life. Unfortunately, situations can arise where this just isn’t possible, such as:

- When the patient is experiencing advanced tooth decay
- When the patient is experiencing advanced periodontal (gum) disease
- When the patient needs orthodontic treatment and extra room must be created in the mouth
Extraction may also be recommended if your son or daughter has a stubborn “baby” tooth that is hindering the eruption of the adult tooth. Our team will do everything in their power to make this procedure as comfortable and stress-free as possible, providing sedation dentistry as needed.
Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Your third molars (also known as “wisdom teeth”) are the last adult teeth to emerge into a person’s smile, usually making their appearance between the ages of 16 and 22. In a perfect world, these teeth would always be able to thrive, but the lack of available space left in the mouth can often lead to impaction, overcrowding, increased risks of decay and infection, and other troubling consequences. Dr. Neale will keep a close eye on these teeth with the help of digital radiography in his younger patients and recommend extraction as needed to preserve their oral health and wellbeing.
